Ever since taking my first photograph with my Little Tykes camera at the age of 4, I have been obsessed with creating the perfect image. I can remember the child-like butterflies when I went to the local pharmacy to pick up my developed photographs. Even then, I took my art very seriously. I lived most of my life in a small island town, I would write in my diary about growing up and taking pictures of the cement and graffiti I saw in the big city.
Upon high school graduation I moved to Victoria to pursue my photographic dreams at the University of Victoria. A year in the Visual Arts department opened my eyes to the life of an “artist”. It wasn't pretty. I wanted to apply my artistic passion to something more tangible and current in the new age. So I enrolled in the Graphic Design diploma program at Pacific Design Academy in Victoria. The next two years I learned the value of the magnetic lasso tool, I wore scarves, and I felt the butterflies I once felt as a child when I could finally call myself a “designer”.
A few years later, here I am. I have a couple years experience under my belt and am just finishing up a Certificate of Technology for Web Design from the British Columbia Institue of Technology. And I am happy to say my life-long relationship with design has never been stronger. My passion for the art is renewed with every new skill I learn. Nothing can compete with my desire to perfect my craft.
I have experience designing a plethora of print materials. Below are some examples of what I can do for you. Don't see it here? Just ask.
Posters • Flyers • Logos • Business Cards • Invitations • Menus
Brochures • Tickets • Advertisements • Gift Cards • T-shirt Design
